Hamilton Poster Animation Project

What’s your name man?!?

Student project, 2021. The assignment was to choose any pre-made poster in the design world and make an animation based on that poster. I picked an amazing poster designed by Paula Sher, reimagining the artwork promoting the musical Hamilton, by Lin-Manuel Miranda. This project was very fun, this is where I felt like I actually started understanding After Effects and began to feel capable of not just completing an assignment, but making actual art!

Zodiac Intro

Front, center, backstage!

Zodiac was a student project that challenged us to create a logo based on a letter and a number. After that, we had to design an entire brand
based on that logo alone. My creation was Zodiac, a streaming service aimed at film buffs and those working behind the camera. Zodiac has a wide range of interviews with directors, tutorials on lighting & cameras, prop and set design, and more!

Cash Becomes
Anything

“How much a dollar cost?” ~Kendrick Lamar

Student project, 2020. The assignment was for both the Center for International Disaster Information and USAID. We were assigned to create a motion graphic to convince Americans that donating cash is the best way to help people in need during disasters.

Fun fact: all of the origami you’re seeing in the GIF can actually be made! I’m terrible at origami, so I didn’t even try. But if you manage to make it, you should make like a hundred and mail them to me!

Quasar

Zero days since our last space accident!

My good friend and former roommate, Josh Ohea, is an award-winning short film director. One of his best films, Soft Landing, is about an astronaut who is dealing with the grief of being responsible for his former teammate’s death while on a mission in an ocean of stars. Now, that’s pretty heavy, I know, but my job was cool! I was responsible for coming up with a fake, morally ambiguous, privatized space exploration business that somehow sent two dudes into the sky, and only one fell back down.

Affogato

Poor decisions < Pour decisions

Student project, 2020. The assignment was to pick two ideas and combine them into a motion graphic. As a prediabetic, caffine addicted college student, of course I combined the two into an animation that’s almost as sweet as the real thing!

#Share2022

The Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

In my junior year of college, our class was divided into groups and tasked with creating a branding system to promote ASU’s 2022 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration. My group created the #share2022
celebration campaign, encouraging the sharing of love, wisdom, and time.
