GyroShack
Fresh off the spit!
While working at Perspicuous Design, Gyro Shack, a Greek fast-food chain, contacted our agency, hoping we could help them with a “brand refresh.” We designed everything from digital to print, including but not limited to social media, in-store signage, special events, countertop stickers, banners, and more. We specifically focused on promoting their new app, limited-time items, and promotional events. I actually went there on a date with my fiancé. It’s really good!
ABOUT Thermomix: ROar
Round Up and ROAR!
Thermomix is a worldwide high-tech blender company originally based in Germany. For their US branch, our design team at Perspicuous has been trusted for years to handle almost all of their design needs. One of our proudest accomplishments, however, was for their ROAR Orlando conference in 2024. We handled a plethora of print designs, including name badges, wall/floor graphics, photo-ops, candy wrappers, goodie bags, and more!
ABOUT INSECTIGENOCIDE
Pesticides Killing Bees
Our last (and largest) student project was to select a social issue prevalent in the world and utilize all the skills we’ve learned over the years to bring awareness. As you probably guessed, I chose pesticides and the dangers they bring to both us and the bees. Let’s explore why our little black and yellow friends are so gosh darn important, along with why we use pesticides and why they are a very real and dangerous threat to the world’s food supply.
ABOUT The Friendly Pines Cabin Shields
Trying new things, the old-fashioned way!
I have been a part of the Friendly Pines Camp Family since 2010. I’ve worked my way up from a dishwasher to Assistant Program Director. Because of my professional background in design and my connection to the camp, the family that has owned the camp since 1941 trusted me to redesign all 32 cabin shields, which had remained unchanged for decades. The new designs became so popular that you can now purchase stickers, shirts, and other merch with any of the 32 designs!
ABOUT THE STAR WARS
LIGHTSABER EXHIBITION
An Elegant Weapon for a More Civilized Age
Another student project! This assignment required us to create a museum exhibit revolving around one topic of our choice (if you couldn’t tell, I’m obsessed with Star Wars), along with a book, posters to advertise the exhibit, and more. This museum was designed to showcase the vast collection of lightsabers within the Star Wars Galaxy, along with their history on and off camera, how they’re made, and their most famous or infamous wielders!
The book was designed alongside the museum displays, with detailed research and inspiration, colors and typography, materials, graphic treatment, and finally, concept and renders. In Star Wars, no two lightsabers are alike, and this project aims to show just how special each blade and its wielder are.
ABOUT pov
A new point of view
This student project was by far the largest; our senior class needed to create an entire event showcase to bring attention to our social issues. If you remember my Insectigenocide project, this event is where my work was showcased! We divided our social issues into 7 categories, and we presented the categories with fun character shapes! Every single student in the major was assigned to either event planning, digital show aspects, or, in my case, the marketing committee. I was tasked, along with my teams, to create a book displaying everyone in the major, their bio, their social issue description, and their social issue exhibit. Once the book was designed, we ordered hundreds of books to hand out to guests and students.
